Terms & Conditions
Terms and Conditions for Dial 4 Dignity LLC
Effective Date: March 24, 2026
Welcome to Dial 4 Dignity. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Dial 4 Dignity LLC platform, websites, and applications (collectively, the "Services"), which provide unified communications, commissary fulfillment, vocational education, and financial management for justice-impacted individuals and their support networks.
By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Services.
1. Account Registration and Security
Users must create an account to access the Services. You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials. You agree not to disclose your password to any third party. Dial 4 Dignity and partnering correctional facilities reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that are suspected of fraudulent activity, credential sharing, or violating facility security protocols.
2. The Unified Wallet and Financial Policies
Our platform utilizes a Unified Wallet system to manage funds for communications and commissary purchases.
- Deposits: All deposits made by family members or external contacts are processed securely via our third-party payment processor (Stripe). Applicable processing fees are displayed at checkout.
- Refunds & Chargebacks: Due to the secure nature of correctional facility logistics and the immediate allocation of digital credits, all wallet deposits and commissary sales are final. Chargebacks filed maliciously or fraudulently will result in the immediate suspension of the associated user account and may be reported to the partnering facility.
- Dignity Credits & Nest Egg: Funds earned through our vocational Trade School ("Credits") are promotional balances. They do not constitute a demand deposit or traditional bank account. "Locked Balances" (Nest Egg funds) are disbursed strictly in accordance with the partnering facility's release and escheatment protocols.
3. Commissary Fulfillment and Logistics
Dial 4 Dignity facilitates the ordering of commissary goods delivered through authorized supply chain partners (e.g., SpartanNash or local fulfillment centers).
- Delivery Timelines: While we strive for rapid fulfillment, all deliveries are subject to the security conditions, lockdown status, and operational discretion of the partnering correctional facility.
- Fulfillment Fees: A transparent secure fulfillment fee is applied at checkout to cover the specialized labor required to pick, pack, and heat-seal orders for secure facility entry.
- Substitutions: In the event an item is out of stock, we reserve the right to issue a digital refund to the Unified Wallet or provide a facility-approved substitute of equal or greater value.
4. Communications and AI Monitoring
Dial 4 Dignity provides secure messaging and telecommunications.
- No Expectation of Privacy: Users acknowledge that all communications (excluding verified, privileged attorney-client communications) are subject to monitoring, recording, and review by Dial 4 Dignity's Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems and authorized facility personnel.
- Prohibited Conduct: Users may not use the Services to facilitate illegal activities, harass others, transmit contraband codes, or compromise facility security. Violations will result in immediate termination of communication privileges.
5. AI Disclaimers (Trade School & Court Navigator)
The Platform utilizes Artificial Intelligence to summarize legal documents (Court Navigator) and proctor vocational education (Trade School).
- Not Legal Advice: The Court Navigator provides automated text simplification for general informational purposes only. It is not legal advice, and Dial 4 Dignity is not a law firm. Users should consult a licensed attorney for legal counsel.
- Vocational Training: Educational modules are designed for foundational learning and rehabilitation. Completion of these modules does not guarantee external employment, official state licensure, or college credit unless explicitly stated in partnership with a recognized accrediting body.
6. The Official Ledger and Grievances
The Platform provides an automated ledger for submitting facility requests and medical triage notes ("Kites"). Dial 4 Dignity provides the software to log these requests but is not a medical provider or facility operator. In the event of a severe medical or physical emergency, users must immediately notify facility staff directly. Dial 4 Dignity assumes no liability for the response times or actions taken by the partnering correctional facility.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dial 4 Dignity LLC, its founders, affiliates, and logistics partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, resulting from (a) your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Services; (b) any conduct or content of any third party or facility staff on the Services; or (c) unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content.
8. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
