Privacy Policy for Dial 4 Dignity LLC

Effective Date: March 24, 2026

Dial 4 Dignity LLC ("Dial 4 Dignity," "we," "our," or "us") provides a unified communications, commissary, and educational platform bridging justice-impacted individuals and their families. We take the privacy and security of your data seriously. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, protect, and disclose information across our software, websites, and associated services (collectively, the "Platform").

1. Information We Collect

To provide our Services, we collect the following categories of information:

  • Personal Identification Information (PII): Name, email address, physical address, and phone numbers.
  • Facility & Inmate Data: Inmate booking IDs, facility locations, and relationship status to the incarcerated individual.
  • Financial Information: We use Stripe as our secure payment processor. We do not store full credit card numbers or bank account details on our servers. We only store transaction records, receipts, and wallet balances.
  • Communications Data: Text messages, voice call metadata, and customer support inquiries.
  • Educational & Activity Data: Progress in vocational modules, AI-tutor interactions, and grievance/request logs (The Ledger).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected data to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve our secure communication and commissary fulfillment services.
  • Process financial transactions and manage the Unified Wallet.
  • Operate our Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems, including the Compassion Coach, Court Navigator, and Vocational Proctor.
  • Maintain the security, integrity, and safety of the Platform and the correctional facilities we serve.

3. The "Law Enforcement Exception" (No Expectation of Privacy)

Because our Platform operates within secure correctional environments, users should have no expectation of privacy regarding communications, purchases, or ledger entries made on the Platform.

To ensure facility security and comply with municipal contracts, authorized personnel at the partnering correctional facility (e.g., Sheriffs, Jail Administrators, and Investigators) are granted administrative access to monitor, review, and export:

  • All text and voice communications (excluding legally privileged attorney-client communications, where verified).
  • Grievance and medical triage logs.
  • Financial deposit and commissary purchasing histories.

4. Artificial Intelligence (AI) Processing

Dial 4 Dignity utilizes advanced Large Language Models (LLMs) to provide real-time educational tutoring, message sentiment review, and document summarization.

  • Data Usage: Text inputs provided to our AI tools are processed to generate immediate responses.
  • Data Protection: We do not sell your personal communications to third-party AI companies to train public models. The AI acts strictly as an enclosed operational processor for Dial 4 Dignity and our facility partners.

5. Third-Party Sharing and SMS Compliance

We do not sell or rent your personal data to third-party marketers. We only share information with trusted operational partners required to deliver the Service:

  • Logistics Partners: Order details (excluding payment info) are shared with our fulfillment partners (e.g., local warehouses/distributors) to pack and deliver commissary goods.
  • Infrastructure Partners: Cloud hosting (AWS), database management (Supabase), and telecom routing (Twilio).

Strict SMS Policy: By providing a mobile phone number, you consent to receive transactional and account-related SMS alerts. No mobile information or SMS opt-in consent will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. You may opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying "STOP".

6. Data Security

Dial 4 Dignity employs enterprise-grade security measures, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/SSL) and at rest, role-based access control (RBAC), and continuous monitoring to protect your data from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction.

7. Data Retention

We retain user data, transaction logs, and communication records for as long as required to fulfill our service agreements with municipal and county correctional facilities, and to comply with federal and state data retention laws. Because these records are often classified as municipal or legal records, users may not have the right to demand immediate deletion of certain ledger or communication data.
